NewSpace Chicago welcomes Sean Casey of Atlas Space Operations. During his presentation, he’ll detail the current trends and possible future state of the industry with a focus on cost-effective and reliable data and communications services.
Sean Casey was recently named the new Vice President (VP) of business development for Atlas Space Operations. Casey brings more than 25 years of leadership experience and subject-matter-expertise. He is also a principal at the investment banking merger and acquisitions firm, NewCap Partners, and he served as the president of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the Space and Satellite Professionals International (SSPI).
Casey co-founded two separate business accelerators for NewSpace entrepreneurs including the New York Space Alliance (NYSA), and the Silicon Valley Space Center (SVSC), for which he served as its managing director between 2012 and 2017.Prior to his work with the SVSC, Sean served for more than 20 years at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and the Ames Research Center.
